Saturday December 8th~The Real Birthday!

On Saturday, December 8th, we went to an open house and craft sale at the Leach Botanical Gardens. The lovely home was built by a pharmacist years ago for his wife, so Jimmy has always been fascinated with the building and the property. It is a lovely setting. We once had our Christmas store party here a very long time ago.
The volunteers were so friendly and really charming. There were some local craftsmen selling their wares and more hot cider and cookies! Another little gift shoppe for more Christmas shopping. We are enjoying the season.
They also had fresh wreaths and greens for sale.

This is a fountain on the back side of the building. The volunteer said we had just missed a hummingbird getting a drink!

We hit a few estate sales that were really good. More Etsy and things for Jim's booth. His next show will be in January.
I share a birthday with my daughter Gina, so we had a nice chat. We are the birthday girls!
I also share a birthday with a friend who lives in Portland-Morgan. It was her 70th birthday, so we had to stop by and drop off a little present. Ended up the day with dinner at our Thai restaurant in Troutdale. It seems like all we have been doing is shopping, going to events and eating! Oh, it has been grand.
My friends are taking me to tea but I think I will save that story for Teacup Thursday!
Thanks you to my Jimmy and all my friends for making this a very special birthday. I love having a birthday in December. I am blessed with so many good friends and good times!

Oh my GOODNESS, Linda. Sounds wonderful. I love shopping, eating out and seeing decorations! All sounded fantastic. You have, indeed, had a happy celebration of your special day.

And many birthday salutes to your daughter, too!

Loved that fountain. Susan
