Otto's 4th Birthday....Shark Attack Party!

Yesterday, Papa Jimmy and Grandma Linda went over to Otto's house for his 4th birthday! He was having a SHARK ATTACK party with all the trimmings. Here he is before the party showing us that he is 4! 4 with the thumbs up!

We went over a bit early to to watch him open his presents from us before all his friends and the other adults came over.

His daddy made his cake! It was delicious...coconut. I had to sneak a tiny bite.

Lots of fun decorations and pizza too.

Ava was there to help her little brother open his presents. Isn't she growing up to be a fine young lady? She was so cute helping him open his packages and his cards. It was fun to see her telling him what he needed to do.

She is reading the card to him here.

He is sooo excited with his present from Ava...20 new Hot Wheels!

I loved the great paper shark across the doorway.

It was pool time after the the guests arrived.  There were lots of little boys and Ava got to invite her girlfriend too.

After some playtime in the pool, it was time to sing Happy Birthday and cut the cake!

I love the look on both of their sweet faces here!

Of course, Ava had to help little brother blow out the candle!

I love Ava's arm around Otto!

Daddy was having fun and laughing!

This is the look Otto gives Grandma Linda that ALWAYS melts my heart. Sweet little monkey man.

He's getting into the cake here...note the blue frosting on his face. He loves blue...always has and probably always will!

He's really enjoying his cake.  How about another bite!

And next it was time for more birthday presents. It was so fun to watch all the kids and see all the goodies.

So many cute little boys!

One happy mama...my daughter Angie and my grandson Otto...the loves of my life. I am so blessed to have my kids and grandkids. I do thank God for them and keep them in my prayers all the time.

Tea Time #166

Happy Tea Time Tuesday...seems like this is almost all the blogging I can manage lately. I have some new health issues and had to visit the doctor last Friday. Looks like I am back in the medical system again and waiting for more test to be scheduled. I am trying to accept it but I really don't like it. I don't do well with the unknown.

I just love this pink teapot. You can never have too much pink! I found this pretty Sadler teapot at an estate sale awhile back. I cannot resist pink roses. It has 1936 written on the bottom in gold ink.

PRETTY IN PINK....right?

This sweet little cream and sugar was also at the sale and I couldn't separate them, could I?

I wanted to use this very pretty rose mug that was gifted to me by my friend Angelia. Isn't it pretty? She knows me quite well.

As I am on a very limited diet along with my boring low sodium, I have to watch what I'm eating. Luckily, summer presents lots of yummy fruit treats for tea time. I do love raspberries!

Hopefully, I will be back before next Tuesday.

Tea Time #165....A Day With Ava

Ava spent the day with me. We haven't had a day together, just the two of us for quite some time now. I thought it would be fun to have tea with her. We went to the store together and I let her pick out the goodies. She was so helpful in fixing everything. I was so thrilled to watch her enjoy helping with the tea! I hope she will continue to love it and give her own teas as she gets older.

I noticed the teapot is missing from my photos. It was steeping on the counter and it didn't get into the picture.

Ava set the table and arranged all the plates of goodies. She had quite a system for her designs.

She invited her little stuffed hedgehog...Chocolate. She found a tiny little dish for him.

She sure looks happy...doesn't she? She's 10 now and soon will be taller than I am.

Yes, I was pretty happy too.

After tea, we  had a chance to play the Barbie Queen of the Prom game. I ordered one and was waiting for her to visit so we could play the game. Oh my goodness, she loved it. I used to play it with my sister and then my girls loved to play it. So....the circle of life goes on...Barbie games and all.

Tea Time Thursday #164

I have been so very busy. We have been getting ready for the all city garage sale at Clark County Fairgrounds and we are pretty much out of another storage unit. We will only have one left and we still need that one. I took another trunkful of things to the donation center this morning after I had my blood test at the lab. I wasn't going to go into the Goodwill, however, there was a UHaul truck at the drop off and I couldn't get in. So I decided to go into the store for a few minutes. I found this beautiful Foley cup and saucer. I am trying not to buy things, but this cup was soooo pretty and it just looks like summer.

The design around the center of the saucer is just so different and the circle of flowers is just charming. Of course, it has the green handle and that always does it to me!

I took a quick look at this tea book from my collection. I love it because it's all about small bites.

My friend Angelia sent this tea to me a few weeks ago with a lovely box of treats. I just love Rooibos Red Tea. I don't know how she knew, but it's a favorite.

I so enjoyed a tiny break for a cup of tea. The weather has been so delightful...just in the 70's....cool enough to enjoy a hot cup of tea this afternoon.

Dolly Day

Happy Dolly Thursday! The little ladies were having a party last 4th of July and they wanted me to post photos.  They had quite the time while our family was having a fun time together.

Annabelle and Daphne were  excited to welcome the new dolly to the group. She is a little German doll that was found at the coast last spring. Her name is Gretchen Elise and she needs a proper dress, but this one was found for her to make do for a bit.

Hitty Autumn was really into the whole 4th of July thing with flags and party fun!

Hitty Autumn invited her friend Angie Bea. Angie Bea brought quite a few fireworks to share with her friends!

You have to bring a picnic basket to the 4th!

Daphne was enjoying her flag banner that her friend Raggedy Ann sent to her. It added to the festive activities.

Daphne loves her new wicker chair and table. You can see her sweet quilt from Raggedy too.

And yes, the new girl was quite excited to be in her new home with lots of new friends.
