Doll Show

Last weekend it was time for another Doll Show! I just wait for these. The event has been moved to a new location...the Monach Hotel which is very nice. The lighting is good and the place is roomy.

There is so much to see at these shows. Eye candy for sure! I was good and didn't buy a doll this time. I did find some treasures and will share them in future posts. I hope you enjoy viewing my photos.

Valentines is coming. I think it would be fun to have a white or red feather tree like this one!

The Tootsie Toy metal dollhouse furniture just fascinates me. I didn't need this set but REALLY liked it. SO cute!

An older lady had this dolly for sale. All her dolls were baby dolls and it was so cute . She loved them all.

This was a sweet little trio!

Another pretty lady.

Here's my sweet Jimmy with a former customer of his when he worked in the pharmacy. Clint is retired now too and his wife Karen is a doll person. She has just gotten into miniatures and dollhouses, so we see them at the miniature shows as well as the doll shows. It's become quite fun.

This is a lovely book...the translated title is The Queen of the Dolls.  It was retold, translated and the lovely photos were hand tinted by Edith Bartholomew in 1965. It's the story of a beautiful doll in a doll shoppe....the Queen of the dolls. She lives in a doll shoppe but is never chosen as she is too expensive. It's a sweet story.

These dolly gloves are one of the treasures I bought. They are made of leather and are a very soft pink color.

As always, I had a most wonderful time at the show.

Sounds wonderful, it is rare to have a show like that locally so I love to take a stroll with you and enjoy some of the great stalls. Thank you for sharing.

Oh I would have had a wonderful time at the show too! So many wonderful antique dolls, I adore the Victorian one's! The book reminds me of Corduroy, same story line but about a teddy bear. I wonder who copied off of who? :)
Your doll gloves are just precious. Thanks for taking us along to the show.
Have a great weekend,
gina

I sure enjoyed seeing this Linda. I have never been to a doll show but this looks like great fun. I see Gina left a comment above. I will be meeting her soon when we finally get to Missouri. She has a doll house and I've heard it is outstanding!

What a lovely doll show it was!! I am in love with photos. My daughter just loves attending such shows. Recently I took her to a Doll fest at one of local event venues. She enjoyed a lot in this fest and it was quite tough to get her out of the venue.
