Tea Time Thursday #43

I am planning a special tea party next summer and have been on the hunt for six Mary Engelbreit cup and saucers. I found #6 at the big garage sale at the Clark County Fairgrounds on Saturday. It was $3 so I was pretty excited! This one has the quote about a grandmother, so I thought that was wonderful. It says "When a child is born, so is a grandmother". So sweet.

I didn't know that it was an Italian proverb! Of course, that makes it all more special for my family.

I have had this darling tea book by Mary Engelbreit for awhile now, so this seemed to be the right time to share it. It's a great book with many ideas and lots of pictures.

The book is filled with many of her darling graphics which are so colorful and so sweet.

The book end covers are this tea time patchwork. What a fun idea for a quilt. I wish it was as easy making a fabric quilt as it is to make a paper quilt!

I also have this ornament and it matches the ones featured on this page in the book.

Don't you just love this from Jane Auten's book EMMA? I would love to have this framed to hang on my wall.

When we did our Expo show, I found this great metal stove for my ME room. I now have it in my cottage...it makes a great display piece.

I'm working on another project using the 1950's plastic doll furniture that I once had growing up. I needed a kitchen table with chairs, so I was excited to find this set. It's in great condition. I hope to finish the project before the end of summer and yes, it will be a blog post down the road.

I hope you have enjoyed my Tea Time Thursday blog post. I seem to be flipping back and forth between my Tasha Tudor goodies and my Mary Engelbreit things. I love them both.

Oh yes, such beautiful illustrations. Love Mary Engelbreit and Tasha Tudor. So simple and cheery. I like that quotation also. Have you tried to see if it's for sale in an Etsy store? You never know.

Everything looks so cute. I sold ME for years but don't have things. When you have a store you can't keep everything.
