LaVonne asked for money from her family to buy her bee hive and bees. She's learning all about being a beekeeper, so I thought it would be fun to give her a BEE BASKET full of fun bee gifts to help her celebrate.
Her she is opening the goodies!
The day before, we went to the Garagarama in Bozeman. It was really fun, lots of goodies and Jim found things for his July show.
LaVonne had to teach a chicken class out at her farm during the day, but her family and her met us for the Walleye Banquet later that evening. It was really fun and the fish was delicious!I had never tasted it before.
The local paper....
Back to the farm....LaVonne gave Jim and me the grand tour. She's so at home there and has lots to share. It was so fun to finally see all the things she talks about and share. I love the inside of her shepherd's wagon. She's showing us how the sheep herder would drive the wagon with the door open.
Farmer Jim~
I LOVED the shepherd's cabin that they moved to their property. It was really so charming.
That evening, we went to Logan for her birthday dinner. We got to meet her mom and her father in law. Can you believe the steak my Jimmy ate? The Cowboy Rib Eye. Jim said it was one of the best steaks he had ever eaten.
We woke up to SNOW on Monday morning~it was so beautiful. LaVonne had a meeting in Livingston, then Chris and her treated us to lunch. Chris is soooo funny. After lunch she took us to some antique malls... full of treasures and some just HAD to come home.
It snowed off and on all day. The Stucky's had us out to the farm for dinner....yummy!
We decided to stay an extra day as the passes were a bit tricky. Got to go to the Senior Center Thrift Store and then I spent the day with Lavonne at her shoppe. Her shop is so cute and very much her!
Country Pickins.....
We had a scary drive over several passes to Spokane and woke up to another snowy day...
We brought home lots of memories and lots of treasures. Here's a few pictures to share.
We sure had a wonderful time, but it's so good to me home too.

OH SO FUN! It is amazing to see it all in pictures. I was afraid we were not doing a very good job of entertaining, but now that I look back, we kept pretty busy! :-) Thanks for sharing!
I learned so much about LaVonne from your photos. She is a busy lady. You must have had so much fun together. That was so nice of you to surprise her. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! That was a great trip, Linda (minus the lousy snow driving. That I would not have liked). Sounds like you both had lots of fun, got treasures, and made plenty of memories! Thanks for sharing. Susan
Sounds like lots of fun for both you and Jim. I am betting the best treasure of the trip was spending time with LaVonne. So glad you had a good time. Molly
Looks like you had fun, and it also looks like you found plenty of treasures!
