Tea Time Thursday # 86

I'm smiling as I write this post as it's been cooler and rainy and it just feels like fall is in the air! YES! Autumn is my most favorite season and I am more than ready for it this year after our very hot summer. So happy Tea Time Thursday. As I am waiting for fall, I am going to show a multi colored brown transferware cup and saucer this week. It's a very rich brown and it has a lot of color to brighten it up. I really like the busy border around the inside of the cup and around the saucer. If you look closely, you can see village people  on the cup on the left hand side.

The teacup is English and is marked Royal Staffordshire Pottery  Jenny Lind. It's funny because the cups are marked AA Wilkinson England.

When I was on my trip to New England, a friend of mine and fabulous doll maker-Christine Crocker- was also able to make the trip from Oregon. She lives in Madras OR. Their farm is named Deerfield Farm, as Christine is totally in love with Deerfield MA. Christine gifted us all with some spearmint tea from her farm. I am anxious to start our afternoon tea time again. I have lots of yummy tea from my trip to enjoy. Thank you Christine!

This little wooden dolly now lives in my hutch. I found her in Jack Winner's most wonderful antique shoppe in Vermont. It belonged to a family relative. Her shirt is fabric and her little hands are vintage bells.

I absolutely LOVE dolly silverware. We found this set of 4 knives and 4 forks at a great antique mall. I don't know why I like it so, but I do!

Happy Tea Time Thursday! Hope you have a great long holiday weekend. Be safe and take time for a little cup of tea.

I LOVE transferware, and your cup and saucer have just the best color and pattern. The colors really brighten up the brown beautifully. The doll is wonderful with those little bell hands and jointed arms. I'm glad you found such a nice treasure on your trip. I've only flown in and out of New England, but hope to visit sometime. I'd dearly love to see some covered bridges there.
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Good evening, sweet friend! Is it just me or did the summer days simply fly by? I feel like it's been ages since I've had a good long visit with you. I think of you often, precoius Linda, and I hope you are doing well. I also hope your daughter is well...

Your tea cup is quite the beauty! What a delightful scene on the cup. Have a wonderful week, dear one. Love to you!
