Tea Time Thursday #42

Happy Tea Time Thursday! I cannot believe another week has slipped away. We were so busy with the Expo show and we had another great show! It takes these old retired folks several days to rest up and get back to normal. I forgot about blogging for a few days~shame on me!

Last week, I talked about Japanese Lusterware and children's toy tea sets and dishes. I just love the charm and the look of lusterware. When I was sorting through items for the show, I found this adorable little trio. I purchased it at a sale last fall and I forgot about it. All the pieces are elephants! So cute. I love the little girl riding on the elephant tea pot. The creamer is so funny.

I shared this little teapot before but it's really a nice one. My SIL Chris gave it to me when I set up my sewing room and it is a favorite.

Our weather has been so hot this summer with many days over 90 degrees. This morning, it was cool and a bit overcast and soooo refreshing. I took this photo before the sun was really out, so it is a bit dark. Earlier this spring, my hubby bought a big lot of Mary Engelbreit items. I was excited as the lot had some planters and containers for flowers. Jim also found me the wire stand you can see for $4.oo
so it all worked out.  Enjoy the pictures. I had fun putting it together earlier this summer.

How is your summer where you live? Lots of intense and crazy weather across the USA. I find myself thinking of fall about this time of the year. Our grandbaby's big 1st birthday party is this weekend. Fun fun fun. Keep cool or dry, depending on where you live!

Late Tea Time Thursday

I thought that the New Year would bring a bit of quiet into our lives! Ha ha ha! We had Miss Ava over night on Thursday and then our friend Chris came in from MT. He is staying with his daughter and SIL, but stopped by to visit Friday afternoon then we all had dinner out and had a fun time! So, I am late with Tea Time Thursday and my Tasha Tudor book review!

This is the teacup I found on the way home from our Seattle trip. I have been on the hunt for ME cup and saucers for my crafting cottage-need to entertain guest when they come to sew or craft.

I love the open heart filled with goodies and the message on the saucer is great!

I made this little tea bag wallet or holder years ago when I went back to my sewing. I had to use a few quilting techniques and I was so scared! Pretty funny now! I should make some more if these!

Happy New Year and Happy TeaTime!
