Thursday Treasures

Our recent trip to the coast was quite fun and we found so fun goodies to keep and of course to sell.
I found lots of things that are just perfect for my Etsy.

You know, I was jumping up and down when I found quilt blocks and a doll quilt. All the fabrics were really in great condition...bright and colorful.

The star blocks are just beautiful! There are 5 of them constructed with fabulous fabrics.

I found a whole stack of the Wedding Ring quilt blocks. I'm sure someone would love to give new life to these blocks.

One large Dresden Plate block would make a great bag or pillow top

I'm always excited to find a doll quilt! They are always a good seller for those little doll cradles or doll beds.

Jim is always looking for small dressers for his booth. This one is so charming. I get excited when I find anything Holly Hobbie! I think I have to keep the Wee Wisdom children's magazines...just too fun!

The maple wooden bowls are for Jim's booth. He got a great price on them and they were made in Vermont! Love old tin cookie cutters. We have found quite a few now for the next show.

Jim is just crazy about Bennington pottery. This is a smaller pitcher and it is charming. It will stay in Jim's collection.

As you can see, we just had lots of fun doing something we love to do together.

Thursday Treasures

Last Sunday we went to a few new antique shoppes and a little drive in the country. We found this wonderful antique mall out near Estacada called The Barton Antique Mall. It's our kind of place...filled with lots and lots and lots!

This little gal was  pretty cute sitting in this little high chair.

I love little metal toy kitchen items and saw this little stove way back in the corner. The price was good but no place to put it, so was able to pass it up.

I thought my friend LaVonne would like this little lamb and the cow...perfect for the farm girl.

I found this little basket of dollies interesting. Some were from other countries and some were just cute!

A little red white and blue for the Memorial Day weekend.

You know this little linen caught my eye...tea time!

Poor baby got locked in the case!

I was really tempted to buy this little metal phone..toys are my weakness.

After we made a stop at a shoppe in Oregon City, we drove out to Aurora. Some of the shoppes were having a sale. I spotted this little wooden barn in a booth and fell in love with it! So did Jim. It was screaming at us....take me home, take me home!!!!

The little sign above the door reads Red Robin Farm. We looked it up and they were made the late 1800-early 1900's in Massachusetts.

I just love that both doors open on a little metal sliding track. There are 3 stalls inside for some little animals. This is a keeper!

We both found some fun items for resale too.

I don't think I can sell the metal teapot! I really love these little metal dishes.

I will be keeping these sweet notecards too. Don't you think they are perfect for a quilter?

This is an interesting little wooden piece. The drawer opens and the top has been woodburned into the box. It is dated 1036.

I adore this wooden shelf! It's so different and will look good in Jim's booth. The little winder is for fishing line.

Jim's been picking up small metal horns. Can't you just see them with a bit of Christmas greenery maybe with a red bow?

Jim's last find was a Bennington pitcher. He loves this color and I'm not sure if this one will be staying at the Colantino home or not!

It was really a fun day for us both. We sure were happy and thankful with our wonderful finds.

Thursday Treasures

Thursday Treasures from last weekend's fun shopping! You can read more around the tea set in my previous post for Tea Time Tuesday.

It really is an adorable metal tea set by Ohio Arts from the 1930's.

Dolly treasures and paper dolls, plus a few miniatures. The doll play pen is really sweet and I'm sure it will be a welcome addition to someone's doll house. The other little aluminum toy dish set is really cute and a bit different.

I love paper dolls and I found a nice little assortment for some Etsy offerings. Hard to part with...

The cup and saucer is really pretty with it's soft green trim. The individual cream and sugars are very sweet. They are English bone china as is the cup teacup. Don't you love the shabby chic little magazine stand? It would be perfect for an American Girl doll.

A dolly quilt is ALWAYS a great find! Love the string holder head and I was delighted to find more Disney Mickey Mouse birthday candle holders.

Another fun shopping trip with my Jimmy.

Tea Time Tuesday #111

Oh Happy Day last Sunday at the flea market! Jim found this delightful metal toy tea set. It's by Ohio Arts and is dated 1939. It is in such wonderful condition and I am happy to share it on Tea Time Tuesday. The subject matter is Pinocchio and it has all the characters from the Walt Disney movie.

Of course, my favorite character is the Blue Fairy. I always thought she was sooo pretty. I do have to admit that Pinocchio did scare me a bit as child, but it is a classic.

Love the shape of the teapot and I do love a toy tea set! I'm not sure I will be keeping this one. I am going to enjoy it for awhile before I list it.

The graphics are just so very cute and I do love the colors too...pink and green!

The metal toy dishes have been such a fun thing to collect. The hunt is always pretty darn exciting!

Wet Friday

It's a very wet spring day here in Oregon. Jim is going to some sales with my friend LaVonne's hubby Chris and their kids (who live in Portland) as Chris is out from Montana for a visit. My knee has been really giving me trouble and last night both of my feet were pretty swollen. I am staying home, but will get to see Chris at dinner tomorrow night.

Jim has my car, so that will really keep me home! I am doing some Etsy work, but wanted to share some of my Thursday Treasures from yesterday that now live in my crafting room. I posted them on my Tasha Tudor Dolly Thursday yesterday too.

As I said yesterday, dollies have to do wash too!

I loved paper dolls when I was a little girl. I had to pick this uncut booklet up earlier this winter at a sale. It's so cute.

The dollies are driving their wash on a little wooden clothes line...complete with little clothes pins!

This is the little red metal wash tub and scrub board that I found recently. I think it all goes together quite well!

Enough playing...time to get back to my Etsy site. I just fixed a nice cup of tea.

Have a good weekend.

Thursday Treasures

Fun finds last weekend at 3 great estate sales. Some weeks you just find lots of treasures and perfect things. I love vintage baby clothes and accessories....bibs, hats and little jackets.

The little booties with the ball faces are way too cute!

This little book is is from the 1950's. It's a cloth book for little ones. I just love the graphics.

It's always a delight to find sewing items. I like to use the vintage wooden embroidery hoops for my embroidery projects.

Fun to find paper items and holiday goodies.

A bit of cooking anyone?

Some of my favorite finds! One of the houses had a lot of queen things. I didn't have a cream and sugar and the mug is fabulous.

Toys and dolly finds...yes! The little aluminum covered cake plate is a piece of the aluminum dinner sets that I have never seen before...very cute.
