Tea Time Thursday #108 Tea Cup Exchange

Spring is a fun time that seems to spark tea cup exchanges! I participated in several exchanges this spring and all have been so fun. It's a wonderful way to meet new friends via the internet.

This sweet grouping that I'm sharing today for Tea Time Thursday is from  Tonia who joined Stephanie's 8th tea cup exchange on her blog....THE ENCHANTING ROSE. I always think it's fun to see what people include in their exchange.

Isn't this cup and saucer just soooo pretty? Tonia picked the perfect cup for my tea room. I love it.

I like the colors and the design plus the pedestal foot on this cup.

Beautiful trim and a lovely handle. I am fascinated with tea cup handles.

She added a sweet spring card and note and look at this.....Lavender carpet deodorizer! Can't wait to use this. She said I only need a bit. I have never had a product like this. so this is all new to me.

Tonia made this sweet little tea bag holder. It actually holds a box of tea too, but works for singles too.

More tea! How fun to try so many different flavors. That's another fun thing about the exchanges...you get to try new teas!

These are the 3 cup and saucers that friends sent to me this spring! I am blessed and love each and every new treat....and new friends.

I've been sick this week...spent yesterday in bed. The weather is soooo pretty and I am longing to get outside and work in my flower beds. Not quite ready for that. Hot tea sure makes you feel better, especially when you get to drink it from lovely new cup.

Tea Time Thursday #107

Happy Tea Time Thursday! Easter is almost here and spring is trying to come here in Oregon. I received a beautiful teacup in the mail today from one of my Tasha Friends....Mary. Mary lives in Virginia and I hope to meet her one day. This was not an exchange~just a lovely surprise. She also sent me the package of Peter Rabbit paper plates that I was wanting to find! Thank you Mary.

The cup is made by Royal Albert and is called the Sonnet Series. There are six different cup and saucers in the series...one to honor six different English poets....Byron, Tennyson, Chaucer, Milton,
Coleridge and Wordsworth.

My new addition honors Coleridge. Isn't it a pretty pattern?

And it does have the pattern inside the cup as I love. Now the bad thing is I want the other 5 to complete the set! Oh dear.....

It's also Dolly Time Thursday on my Tasha group, so I will share them here today too. These little ladies are all dolled up for Easter. I have been waiting to share them as they are just so perfect for spring...bonnets included.

I found this little miss at a sale about a month ago. She's a composition doll. Don't you love her bonnet? She has her basket too.

Her hair is really styled with lots of bobby pins holding in the curls.

My dear Tasha friend Melinda, gifted me with this beautiful miss. Her name is Lucinda and she is a Madame Alexander doll. I love her...all pink and pretty.

She even came with a little parasol. She has her basket too.

I hope you enjoyed my Tea Time Thursday post and my sweet gifts from friends. My Tasha Tudor friends are very special and very giving.

Tea Time Thursday # 106...Happy St Patrick's Day!

I hope you had a fun St Patrick's Day on this Tea Time Thursday! It was a busy one for me...filled with LOTS of fun! Here it is, almost midnight and I am just now posting my blog post.

My first task of the day,was putting together this yummy tray of cookies for my lady's bible study group this morning. It was my turn to bring treats.

This is also Dolly Thursday on my Tasha Tudor group, so I wanted to share a wee bit of Irish charm
from dolly land.

This is Sean in all his fine tweed, sweater, mittens and hat! I'm not sure if he is Irish, but I think he looks like he could be from Ireland.

This is Erin who I just found last weekend. She was also featured on Tuesday Treasures this week. She was waiting to join the fun on St Patty's Day.

When I returned from bible study, I had Etsy orders to pack and get to the post office. They I put together some party favors for a St Pat's dinner and birthday party I was invited to tonight!

By the afternoon, I was ready for a spot of tea and a break! I needed a good strong cup of Irish tea. I wanted to use a teacup from my St Patrick's collection. With Easter so very early this year, I didn't even put my St Pat's things out...sigh. But I do adore this cup and saucer and just HAD to use it this afternoon.

This little 2 cup tea pot lives in my tea room all year, so it was quite handy for tea time.

Good Irish tea.....nice and strong!

A few cookies to celebrate the day...yummmy.

The cup is marked  Queen Anne and is bone china from England.

I left my house at 3:30 pm to return my daughter's car that I had to borrow while mine was in the shoppe most of the week. Jim took me to pick up my car and I zoomed off to meet my high school buddies for the party at Molly's house. Thank you Molly for hosting the gathering. Kathy's birthday is in a few days, so we decided to celebrate while we were all together! Happy Birthday Kathy! We have been friends since 1964!

We had a great evening...talking and catching up! We had a great dinner, banana cake and some Irish coffee to end the night.

Yes, it was a VERY busy day but it was a fun day too. I think I'll call it a day.

Tea Time Thursday #105 ATAA Tea Exchange

My tea group...ATAA or Afternoon Tea Across America...decided to to have a tea cup exchange for Easter instead of our usual card exchange. We were to send a tea cup, card and tea only. I was paired up with a lovely lady in Vancouver WA. Jennifer gifted me this this spring time cup and saucer, a darling card and delightful tea.

I love the colors of the tea cup....so perfect for this time of the year.

It's English made bone china made by Royal Patrician.

I posted these cute Easter Bunny clothespin dolls for Dolly Thursday on my Tasha Tudor site today. I just love this little couple. They are so nicely made and are so sweet.

Mrs Bunny has worked hard painting her egg for Easter!

Mr Bunny has been busy too! He's got a whole little walnut wagon filled with eggs!

Happy Tea Time Thursday. Easter will soon be here...it's so early this year.

Tea Time Thursday~#104

Oh, what a busy week and I find ourselves at Tea Time Thursday! The week has been filled with setting up Easter at my house, doing the same for dad on Tuesday, watching Otto on Wednesday, squeezing in my Etsy orders, setting up a Tasha Tudor group Easter Tree Ornament Exchange and off to bible study this morning! I kinda of crashed a bit this afternoon. Tomorrow we set up for the Expo Antique and Collectible show which runs this weekend. I just wanted to have a cup of tea and think this afternoon! I found these very spring mugs at Tuesday Morning and fell in love with them. So, today it was tea in a mug!

I have to say, I love the colors of both mugs and the little birds. Do you see the little dragon fly on this one?

The pink one is sweet too. I think the little bird looks like a chickadee....but a different color.

I LOVE Punch Studios notes and stationery. I owe my Pen Pal letters, so thought this might inspire me to write! I do love to write but when I'm in a busy pattern, the letter writing gets put on the back burner for a bit!

This is a lovely illustration by Tasha Tudor of an egg tree. Years ago, our Take Peace Tasha group, decided we would make Easter ornaments for each other. The first few were so small, so we all made each other an ornament. Our group has grown and now we have to do a one on one exchange! It's still fun. I do treasure all my ornaments and the tree is filled with sweet memories.

Look at my treasure I found today! I just couldn't resist and it HAD to live on my tree with my Tasha ornaments. I got the last one...sigh. I would have loved to send them to my tea friends.

I had to get a new tree this year. My last tree was a real branch and it just got crushed and broken over the years. I was delighted to find this one at a sale for $2. It works nicely. Enjoy a few pix.
I was reading about Easter egg trees last night and the Germans were the first to enjoy them. So thank you Germany for Christmas trees and Easter trees!

I have been enjoying my teapot necklace again. My dear friend Wilhelmina made it for me and I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it. I need to get a photo of me actually wearing it so you can really get a good look at it.
