Thursday Treasures

Queen Elizabeth II's official birthday celebration to will be June 11th. She actually turned 90 on April 21st. This morning I shared a few goodies on my Tasha Tudor site for Dolly Thursday. These are some finds from a few years back.

I love the little Queen Elizabeth doll. She is all decked out in her crown and jewels.

She still has her tag, which is always an extra treat.

This is a sweet little children's book about the Queen's coronation. The two little American children make the queen a beautiful candle that is used in her coronation.

I love paper dolls. I picked this up at an estate sale. It is very fragile but I really treasure it.

I enjoy looking for king and queen things from England to use for tea time. These are my most recent finds.

Edward VIII wasn't king for very long, so it was fun to find an item from his time as king.

As I love red transfer ware, this was an interesting find. It is dated and marked CROWNED  June 26th, 1902. It features Edward VII and Alexandra . It is stamped on the bottom of the mug...Marked for Harrod's Ltd London.

I have been looking for a cream and sugar for all my royal tea items. I finally found a great one! it was made by Ansley to celebrate King George and Mary's Silver Jubilee 1910-1935.

I also found a little metal pencil box celebrating the silver Jubilee too. It's a very fun item for my collection.

It will be fun to see how the Queen will be celebrated on June 11th. God has bless her with a long life and a long reign.

Thursday Treasures

Fun finds last weekend at 3 great estate sales. Some weeks you just find lots of treasures and perfect things. I love vintage baby clothes and accessories....bibs, hats and little jackets.

The little booties with the ball faces are way too cute!

This little book is is from the 1950's. It's a cloth book for little ones. I just love the graphics.

It's always a delight to find sewing items. I like to use the vintage wooden embroidery hoops for my embroidery projects.

Fun to find paper items and holiday goodies.

A bit of cooking anyone?

Some of my favorite finds! One of the houses had a lot of queen things. I didn't have a cream and sugar and the mug is fabulous.

Toys and dolly finds...yes! The little aluminum covered cake plate is a piece of the aluminum dinner sets that I have never seen before...very cute.

Tuesday Treasures

Good morning blogger friends. Oh, the hunt was good this past weekend! I can't even share all my finds in one blog, so will save some for next week! Tuesday Treasures galore! We had such a fun Sunday afternoon with a few goodies to keep and lots to sell.

I am always looking for dolly treasures! Fun little treasure for selling. Doll items do well for me and I guess it is my favorite thing to list on my Etsy. The little dolly pink panties still have their original sticker! Don't you love the little roller skates?

Another wonderful crocheted heart. I love these and a lot of people collect them.

Dollhouse treasures...my favorite!! Some to keep and some to pass on. The wooden lamp will go in my little Strombecker room. The crock is amazing.

Annabelle gets to keep this lovely piece of furniture in her house. She was over the moon when she saw it. It is a very nice upgrade for her home. My favorite purchase of the day.

This is one of 4 dolls for resale. The man didn't want any of them in his booth and gave me a great price for them. That's what I love!

A darling little group of Ohio Toy Company metal tea cups. These are keepers. I adore these little metal toy dishes. They will live with a fine collection in my Mary Engelbreit room. So bright and so cheerful.

And who can resist these little lusterware Japanese toy dishes? I quite like the pattern on this one. It was a nice bargain.

Yes, I did have a grand time collecting treasures. Jimmy found lots of goodies for his upcoming show. It's time to get everything cleaned and priced for the show the first weekend in March.

Linking up with Stephanie's Roses of Inspiration. She is also getting ready for another teacup exchange soon.

Happy thrifting.

Tuesday Treasures....Ya Ya Ya!

Hello blogger friends! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day and President's Day. It made for a long weekend for some of you. Jim and I had fun at a few sales and had dinner with our kids and grandkids on Sunday afternoon.

Today for Tuesday Treasures, I have some German goodies to share with you. My heritage is German and I am drawn to German goods. It's funny how you find a group of similar items when you are out shopping sometimes.

Isn't this little miss adorable? She is a hand puppet! Her head is wooden and she is in great condition.
I have a thing for puppets too.

I think I need a find a good German name for her...ideas?

This is a stern little German lady doll. The owner told me she was probably a cottage industry gal. Her outfit is detailed and I love her shoes. It looks like her face is made from nylons.

This is my most favorite find of the shopping spree! It is a darling board book, printed in German. It reads Old Rhymes with new Images (or Pictures). It is illustrated by Else Wenz-Victor about 1925. She was a very popular illustrator. Her work is just charming. As with other illustrators of children's books, I seem to fall in love with their work. I will be on the hunt for more of her work. I do wish my German was better...high school was a very long time ago!

This is a little paperback book, also with darling illustrations. I'm not sure of the date or who did the illustrations in this book. I need to spend some more time on this one.

This is a very small plastic pin. The characters seem to be in traditional costumes and it's just so cute.

My SIL Chris is also German....Chris Wirth. He enjoys German made items too. He told me I had a couple Christmas gifts coming. He had ordered them from Germany, so they were a little late arriving. No problem for me! I love presents any time!

This is a tiny Santa. He sits on a little wooden bench. He is holding a flocked tree. It's only about 2" tall.

This is just beautiful! It's a glass ornament with a little Christkind in the center. Pretty special, huh? Thank you so much Chris.

I'm linking up with Stephanie's ROSES OF INSPIRATION. SO many fun things to enjoy from her blogger friends. Pop on over.

Tuesday Treasures

Jim and I had a great time at estate sales and flea markets this past weekend. He has another antique and collectible show coming up in March, so we have had to do some shopping. We get an added bonus as we are shopping for resale items....we ALWAYS find some treasures for ourselves! I thought it would be fun to share this little grouping as it has a Valentine look.

I am also linking up to Bernideen's Blog Party. Bless her heart, she is in the process of moving and is still able to blog and keep her blog party going weekly. I tip my hat to you Bernideen!

These are very small molds that loot a bit like pumpkins. I just love molds...not sure why...but they fascinate me.

Here we have a wooden cookie stamp. The seller said it came from New England. They bought out a lady's collection last summer and I guess she had a lot of fun kitchen items hanging on the wall. Not sure I will really use this on, but it would be great for my stamp cookie recipe.

Jim found this butter stamp last fall and I just love the design. It's a keeper!

I love old jars. I think this was a mustard jar. I have had it for years, but thought it would be fun in this grouping. I like to fill the jars with seasonal candies in the kitchen.

My favorite find this weekend is this wonderful coffee grinder! Here's some close ups for you to enjoy it's nice features.

The inside of the drawer is made of tin. I have never seen on like this before.

The top is like a piece of art!. We have a coffee grinder that is very sentimental to us, so as much as I adore this one, it will be offered for sale.

Our trunk after one stop! I told you it was a good shopping weekend!
