Stephanie's Lovely Tea Cup Exchange Reveal Day!

What fun to participate in another fun tea cup exchange by my sweet friend Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose. This is # 12 and I have been blessed to participate in each and every one. They are just so much fun and a great way to meet new tea time friends.  Look at all my precious and thoughtful goodies sent to me by Carol. Carol actually lives in the Pacific NW, so we have another thing in common. She lives in the city where my daughter teaches, so someday, we may have a chance to meet!

It is so fun to get you package and open the box...anticipation!

Lots of tea and yummy cookies and a sweet fabric tea tag.

My hubby calls these things....smelly nice! The lemon wax melts are heavenly and I have the cutest burner for them How did Carol know? Plus, my hubby likes the scent of this one. Yeah.

Such a sweet variety of little fun paper goods to keep or share with others.

And the.....the tea cup! Isn't this just the most beautiful cup and saucer? WOW!!! I love roses and it's set on a black background that Carol really likes...me too.

So THANK YOU so very much dear Carol. I love it all and it has been such an encouragement to me at this difficult time. You are so sweet and you have great tea time taste! Much love to you.

Be sure to pop over to Stephanie's blog to see what other's have received and share the fun.

May Day Exchange

It's May....and well into the lovely month! I have been a bit distracted with my dad, but wanted to post some fun things going on in my ife. My Tasha Tudor group....Take Peace....had a May Day exchange. Oh what fun. I just love exchanges. The gifts are just delightful, but it's nice to personally connect with people, esp on large groups.

I was paired up with Salina. Isn't that such a pretty name? I get excited when I open up the box and find sweet goodies inside. It's so neat to see what a person chooses for you.

She put together a very special box for me and I am so thankful for it all. Joy Joy Joy!

She made a darling May Day Basket from a little parasol. Isn't that clever!

Here's the back so you can see the handle which makes it easy to hang.

Salina discovered that I am a quilter. She even took the book and had a plastic binder put on the side for easy use. I have never had a quilting journal!

Yummy new tea and sweet candies!

We like to add little dolly or teddy bear treats in our boxes too, so Miss Annabelle got some goodies too.

A new wind chime for my garden too. Thanks you soooo much Salina!

Happy May to all!

4th of July Tasha Tudor Summer Exchange

I got to organize our Tasha Tudor Summer Exchange this year. It was such a fun exchange. I chose the theme....HURRAH FOR THE RED WHITE AND BLUE! Each member was to send their partner an item with a flag, a dish towel, a package of napkins and something for the person's doll or Teddy. Of course, this group is so generous and they all seemed to send more. It was so fun to see how creative the ladies were.

My partner was Sam. She lives in Colorado. Part of the fun of these exchanges is having a chance to get to know someone personally in your group. Sam loves to sew and she is very creative.

My goodies were all wrapped up in cute paper doilies, tied with fun packaging string.

It was all pretty exciting and I couldn't wait to open the treasures.

My doll Daphanie was delighted with a handmade quilt, a cute note and a darling little 4th of July banner.

More goodies for me too! I also got a banner! She found 2 dolly books that I cannot wait to read. So thoughtful and sweet.

Daphanie's handmade quilt to celebreat the holiday.

I put my banner up right away.

I love the paper plates and sweet red napkins....so cute.

Today is Monday Made on my Tasha group, so I decided to pull out my red, white and blue dolly quilts.  I just found some tucked away in a box. I have been sorthing through so much!

I love the flag...it was a thrift store find.

Blue applique hearts really make this quilt charming and loveable. I have had it for quite some time.

Hitty enjoys these two little quilts. I bouht the blue one years ago. I made the little one for Hitty  this year.

And this is the quilt that Sam made for my dolls.

Lots of fun to celebrate the 4th.

Apple Harvest Blessings Exchange

This has been a very special fall for me. Having my friend LaVonne here was just fantastic! I love this season so much, I almost can't stand it! I participated in another gift exchange so I want to share my treats.
My Tasha Tudor group~TAKE PEACE~had a great exchange this year. It was called APPLE HARVEST BLESSINGS and I thought that was a great theme. I was born in Yakima, Washington-apple country-and I just love apples.
This sweet Tasha sticker was on the front of my package. SOOOO cute! I was paired up with a newer member this time. Cindy did a fantastic job! So, let me show you what she sent!

When I opened the box, everything was packaged so nicely and it was like Christmas!!! Pretty exciting. I almost didn't want to unwrap my goodies.

I tried to get everything tucked into the box so I could take a photo. Cindy lives in CT, so it was fun to receive a package from across the country.

Yummy granola...with apples and cinnamon! I love granola.

There was a cute tote bag from an orchard back east and look at this sweet little apple hanging goodie. Can you see the little magazine in the back? It's a vintage one called Yankee and it is just loaded with all kinds of pictures, articles and advertising from the past. I love it. Cindy said she found some and thought I would enjoy reading it! YES YES YES Cindy!

A darling Tasha postcard that I have never seen...perfect for fall!

This is a sweet advertising postcard from New Home sewing machines. Cindy was pretty good at figuring out what I like. Isn't it a great card?

I adore the fabric on this kitchen towel. It's a great print.

And then you just HAVE to see this! WOW WOW WOW! She made this and the stitches are so tiny I just can't imagine working on something so small. It is beautiful and I absolutely love it. How do you thank someone for something so special that was made by hand for you? Thank you so much Cindy!

She made it for Annabelle, but I think Sylvie Ann has latched onto it. They will have to be nice and share.

Anyway dear Cindy, thank you so very much for such a wonderful and personal package. I appreciate all the thought that went into my lovely box. Happy Fall!

Tasha Tudor Gift Exchange~Year of the Sheep

Our Tasha Tudor group~TAKE PEACE~enjoys several gift exchanges during the year. It started many years ago with an Easter egg ornament swap for our Easter trees. Of course, the tradition comes from Tasha who made Easter trees for her children. Most of us have an Easter tree or two! I have one in my tea room that I have decorated with all of the gifts from my friends. As we progressed on, we decided to pick a theme and do a one on one exchange. LaVonne was in charge of this year's event. She raises sheep in Montana, and as this is the YEAR OF THE SHEEP, she choose a sheep or lamb theme. It was a bit challenging to find little goodies, but we managed!

My Tasha friend Joyce had my name. This is the sweet note card that came with my gift! Everyone loves the graphics and did you notice, the little girl is holding a doll? Perfect!

I couldn't wait to open my package! In fact, I didn't wait for Easter this time as I usually do.

Joyce sent me two baskets...one for me and one for Miss Annabelle of Oregon! Lucky little lady.

My basket is actually a little lamb! Inside, she tucked in a wonderful sheep and little sheep chocolate candies. YUMMY!

How sweet of her to remember Miss Annabelle! Such a sweet treat with little goodies and a tiny card.
I will open both baskets on Easter Sunday. Can you see the small pink sheep? It's a miniature lamb cake for Annabelle. Joyce said it's handmade and signed on the bottom!

There is also a little bunny paper basket inside. I just love having friends who like to play dolls. I know, but I just love dolls and miniatures and all!

The other day, I received another package! SURPRISE! It was an Easter box from my friend LaVonne! More goodies to enjoy. I love the funny little sheep card...so LaVonne!

She knows I love Mary Engelbreit and the hatbox is darling. I wondered if there was anything inside?
Oh yes.....

She ordered this little nuthead miss for me! We both collect nuthead dolls. They are hard to find and are usually handmade.

Such a cute face with her little hat and basket! She is made of pipe cleaners and someone crocheted her little apron. She is just so charming and adorable.  What a very special gift.

I also love this darling little metal egg! I don't think LaVonne knows that I have a little collection of these. She had a gift for Otto and even a chocolate bunny for Jimmy! We are spoiled by this friend!

There was one more WONDERFUL gift tucked in the box....a jar of Raw Honey from Russia! She took a class on bee keeping and was able to purchase this at the class. I can't wait to try it. It's almost too good to use!

So BIG THANK YOUS to my Tasha Tudor friends...Joyce and LaVonne!

We are getting buckets of rain today! I was able to do a lot of yardwork yesterday before the rains appeared. We have had very little rain for months and now the weatherman says we are in a changing pattern....expect rain for two weeks! We need it so badly, so I am not going to complain! We had hail this morning and now I hear thunder! Ah....spring.
