February 6th and the Queen

Isn't this fantastic! It's sold on Thistle and Jug on Etsy. I wish I had a place for the teapot lamp!

Today begins the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of England's Queen Elizabeth! She became the queen 60 years ago today when her father passed away. It will be interesting to follow the celebrations through out the year. This is her official photograph.

Pretty impressive and regal photo. I think she looks quite lovely and I love her crown. I so wish her shadow wasn't in the photo.

This is one of the teacups that is available to commemorate the event! I like this design. I hope to get one this year for my collection.
Long live the Queen!

What a year of celebration this will be! When I was a young girl, I lived in Canada, and we sang God Save the Queen every morning at school.
