Birthday Memories

Last Saturday, Jimmy and I went out to one of our favorite places to visit, Aurora. We had tickets for the Wine and Chocolate Walk! You get to sample different local wineries and local chocolate shoppes.
The weather was very cold, but dry and sunshine, so it really was quite fun. We were also given some coupons to use at any shop.FUN.

This is one of my favorite shops~TIME AFTER TIME. The owner Karen is a real Downton Abbey fan, so she had the a Downton Abbey tree. Very creative and charming.

We went into a new shoppe in the area. Jim bought me a great book on civil war quilts.

We also had tickets for this special event at the museum. It was really cute and special in the evening as the sun went down and the candles were lit.

We watched five little skits in five different buildings.

The sky was so cool in the clear and cold weather.  You can just see the moon peeking through the empty branches.

Some of the actors sitting in front of  this beautiful quilt done by Emma Geisy.

Our volunteer did a great job!

Loved the vintage tree inside the museum. The horse on the top of the tree is made of wax.

Thanks Jimmy, it was a great day!

Are these ornaments on the Downton Abbey Tree for sale? Looks like scrapbooking skills were used to enhance photos.
