Tea Time Thursday #25

Happy Tea Time Thursday and I hope you will enjoy another fall time teapot and cream and sugar. I have had this Shawnee Pottery corn teapot for many years and it is a favorite of mine. Made in the 1940's I enjoy using them in the fall and always put the pieces I have in my fall kitchen decor. The weather cooperated a bit this afternoon, so I took my teapot outside and took my teapot outside for a bit of fall time fun.

The teapot usually lives in the kitchen along with the cream and sugar and a few other pieces that I own. The creamer and sugar are good sized. My hubby is from Illinois, so he is fond of these corn pieces too.

The casserole is quite nice. I store fall paper cupcake paper inside and really have never used it as a casserole dish.

These pieces are not Shawnee, but are very similar. I have had them since we were married. The little piece in the creamer is a little brush for butter.

I use the small corn bowl for fruit. You need candy corn and harvest mix in the fall!

This is an old egg crate on near our woodstove. It is perfect for some Indian corn. My daughter Gina gave me the cute plastic pumpkin when she was in high school. It lights up and it has a sad face on the other side and says TRICK.

When we were in Montana this summer, we were out garage sailing and I found this most wonderful yellow pottery mold with a corn pattern. I have a funny story that goes with it. Jim asked the man if we could have it for a bit less. The man gave him a cost and it was agreed. Then LaVonne had the guy call his wife to ask her if she would take less on another item. The corn mold came up and she wanted more than her husband had agreed to, so we had to pay more for it! FUNNY.

I love my corn husk basket. It has to have some Indian corn tucked into it too. I hope you have enjoyed my little corny blog! I'll show you some more outside photos tomorrow that I took while I was outside.

Hello sweet Linda,
When I read your comment, I had to get right over here and apologize for my last comment. I did not mean to make you sad! Sorry! I was just telling it like it is. We have such harsh winters here. I can't imagine living in a place where one can grow flowers all year round. It sounds like a dream. You know, I read just this morning, on my little desk calendar, "There is always, always, always something to be thankful for." I guess I should be thankful that we get to enjoy all four seasons!

Anyway, your corn inspired teapot and other pieces are just adorable! I think I remember my mother having a little set of corn on the cob salt and pepper shakers when I was a little girl. Being the dish lover I was and still am, I always liked them. I don't know whatever happened to them. Yours are really cute and fun to take out this time of year. Thank you for sharing at my HOME and I pray you have a beautiful weekend.

Blessings & hugs,
Sandi

Wonderful collection. I've never seen anything like this, maybe that's because I'm a west coaster. It's perfect for this time of year. I knew life would change for you once you had a grandchild, enjoy.
