Remembering 9/11

It's hard to realize that this is the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack on America. We will never forget where we were that beautiful early fall morning. I've decided to remember it in silent prayer today
.

May God Bless America!

It would be easy to have a heavy heart all day today. I can't believe it's been 10 years either. Unreal.
We can only go forward......God Bless America.

I had just started watching the coverage on the TV when I got a panicky call from my daughter. She was in Canada with three friends, they were scheduled to come home that day, and the borders were closed. What did she expect me to do from home? :) I asked if any of them had a credit card and it turned out one girl did. I suggested they use her credit card for as much as they could, conserve their cash, and wait and see. They could settle up with her when they got home. The border did finally open up late that night and they were allowed to re-enter the US, but it was an adventure for them at the time. They were secretly hoping the border would stay closed for a couple days as The Empress Hotel was taking in stranded travelers and letting them stay there. An unbelievable day.

Time goes by so fast but bet all the survivors have a heavy heart and time goes slow for them because of their loved ones that they lost. Terrible tragedy on that day 9/11. Blessings to everyone...Lu
