Tea Time Tuesday #167 Summer Time

It is summer in the Pacific NW for sure...really hot and a bit humid now. My car is in the shop once again, as is my sister's and my daughter's! I wonder if our extreme hot weather has caused problems for the vehicles. It makes you wonder. So, I am still sorting through boxes and we are almost done!

I found three really lovely green teacups today. They just look like summer. All are English bone china cup and saucers.

A nice find! Who knows how long they were packed away. I have so many pink teacups so these are a bit different for me.

Soft colors.....

Interesting pattern....

Pretty design inside the cup...I do love that!

Our daughter got home from Mexico last Saturday and is still sick. She has traveled to 13 countries and to rural Mexico in the past and has never been sick. She is leaving for Bali on Thursday, so I am really hoping she is better. She has been to the doctor and is improving slowly. I have only traveled to Canada and I think that's fine with me.

No hot tea for me today. I have more medical tests scheduled...sigh. I need to get to bed tonight as Otto will be waiting for Grandma Linda bright and early.

Did you see the full moon last night? It is so pretty.

Otto's 4th Birthday....Shark Attack Party!

Yesterday, Papa Jimmy and Grandma Linda went over to Otto's house for his 4th birthday! He was having a SHARK ATTACK party with all the trimmings. Here he is before the party showing us that he is 4! 4 with the thumbs up!

We went over a bit early to to watch him open his presents from us before all his friends and the other adults came over.

His daddy made his cake! It was delicious...coconut. I had to sneak a tiny bite.

Lots of fun decorations and pizza too.

Ava was there to help her little brother open his presents. Isn't she growing up to be a fine young lady? She was so cute helping him open his packages and his cards. It was fun to see her telling him what he needed to do.

She is reading the card to him here.

He is sooo excited with his present from Ava...20 new Hot Wheels!

I loved the great paper shark across the doorway.

It was pool time after the the guests arrived.  There were lots of little boys and Ava got to invite her girlfriend too.

After some playtime in the pool, it was time to sing Happy Birthday and cut the cake!

I love the look on both of their sweet faces here!

Of course, Ava had to help little brother blow out the candle!

I love Ava's arm around Otto!

Daddy was having fun and laughing!

This is the look Otto gives Grandma Linda that ALWAYS melts my heart. Sweet little monkey man.

He's getting into the cake here...note the blue frosting on his face. He loves blue...always has and probably always will!

He's really enjoying his cake.  How about another bite!

And next it was time for more birthday presents. It was so fun to watch all the kids and see all the goodies.

So many cute little boys!

One happy mama...my daughter Angie and my grandson Otto...the loves of my life. I am so blessed to have my kids and grandkids. I do thank God for them and keep them in my prayers all the time.

Tea Time Tuesday #122

Summer time in Oregon at our house means tomatoes! Jimmy's garden is doing well and producing lots of little tomatoes. We only grow the small ones as we just don't get enough sunshine to harvest a great amount of large ones. We can have fresh tomatoes everyday now and lots of different kinds. The Italian grandpa planted 15 plants this year.

I thought it would be fun to show off my tomato teapot today! I just think it's so cute for Tea Time Tuesday.

Yummy tomatoes waiting to be gobbled up. I love all the variety.

I just had to stop and have a little cup of tea this afternoon. We had a mostly cloudy day, so a warm cup of tea was in order.

I enjoyed a cup of Green Mountain Grey tea. It's another flavor from the Sunshine Cottage of Vermont. My friend Melinda sent it to me. Green teas are not my favorite, however, this was a light green tea and very nice.

Summer tea time for sure...and a bit fun!

I acquired this tomato or LOVE APPLE when I was working at the estate sale earlier. I just had to have it for summer.

It's marked The Pantry Parade USA. I don't know anything about the maker. I did find that it is made by Standford Pottery and there are other pieces....cream and sugar, salt and pepper and even a big pitcher. It was made in the 1940's.

A lot of my friends love Susan Branch. I was looking for a tomato recipe to share and found this one.

I hope you are enjoying your summer.

Tea Time Tuesday....#120

Ahhhh, Tea Time Tuesday and summer! One of the best things about summer time is fresh berries! Raspberries are my very favorite and I can never get enough of them! This is my little fun gathering for Tea Time Tuesday this week.

I just adore this cup and saucer! It was found by my Jimmy and it's a keeper for me. It whispered  to me upon arrival, that it wanted to live in my tea room! Well, yes, of course!

The roses are so lovely and it's trimmed it gold with a green leaf inside the cup.

It is marked Bavaria. Sadly, I'm just not an expert on these markings. I have tea friends who are and I admire that gift. I just love what I like and call it good.

Isn't she a pretty little thing?

Her maiden filling....chocolate strawberry tea! YUMMY.

This is the boxed mix that I used for the muffins. Interesting...I liked using the greek yogurt and they turned out quite tasty. I did have one, as I made them into mini muffins. I'm trying to work on an inflammatory diet, so I can't have muffins. I will take these over to my daughter's house to be enjoyed.

I CAN eat raspberries and I savored each and every little one.

It's another cool and cloudy day here in Oregon, so I can still enjoy that hot tea. Maybe sunny and warmer days ahead???
I link up each week with a couple favorite blogs. I am going to try to expand that, so I will be adding a few links in the upcoming weeks.
