Sunday Thoughts

I have shared how I prayed for my little grandson when my daughter was pregnant with him. I still can't believe sometimes that Otto is here and I will always be so thankful that God answered my prayer.
I had a situation happen today that is very sad and upsetting to me. I don't understand the actions of Otto's father. I am Grandma Linda, not Otto's mother, so it is hard. I can voice my opinion and I have, but that is all I do. I can pray and I do pray for that sweet little boy who has stolen my heart.

Sunday Thoughts

A good Sunday to you my friends. I found this prayer and it seemed quite fitting for me today. I pray for the safety of my grandchildren every day. I try not to worry too much, as I know I'm supposed to trust that God will watch over them. As a former elementary teacher and a mama too, I guess I just realize how kids can get hurt and it is always on my mind. I had two daughters, so having this little grandson has been quite a learning experience for me.

We got a text yesterday in the late afternoon. Little Otto fell from a swing at a park and they had to take him to the ER. He took a nasty fall on a rock, but thankfully, he didn't hit his head or his eye. Well, this grandma had a sick feeling in her tummy all night long. He checked out just fine and slept well all night. He will have a black eye.  Doesn't he look so sad? That's hard for Gama!

I am just so thankful that he is ok! I have been thanking God all day. I love that little guy so much and he is just precious to me. As my Jimmy said to me, he's a boy and this is going to happen. I know, I know....

Sick Grandchildren=Sick Grandma!

After caring for the sick Otto and Ava last week, Grandma Linda has been sick! I have lost most of this week and just haven't been able to get much done. The kids are better now and I am hoping that tomorrow I'll have my energy back and be ready to go. I just hate being sick!

A November Sunday

How I love November! I cherish this month and I am always a bit sad when it slips away. I like the slower pace, the short days, the woodstove burning, thinking over gift giving and even time to work on some handmade gifts. This autumn month suits me.

Today is Sunday and the perfect for thinking and praying for my two grandchildren. We had a busy and fun week with the snow and ice and time with the little ones. I am so thankful that I have been blessed with grandchildren. I just didn't think we would be grandparents.

I wanted to share a few pictures from the busy and fun filled week with Otto and Ava.

Otto and Grandpa getting all bundled up for a ride in the stroller. They both wanted some fresh air.

Ava and Otto at the pancake house. Ava is so good with her brother. It makes me happy that they look like brother and sister even with different mommies.

Ava and I spent the afternoon and part of the evening yesterday playing with our American Girl dolls.
That's my Rebecca in the background. The dolls live in my Tea Room, in fact, they may be taking over the room!

This is Ava's doll Saige. Miss Ava is wishing for Samantha this Christmas. The doll is coming out of retirement.

Do you like November?
