Wade Creek House is OPEN!

Jimmy and I went for a drive and found that a favorite little shop was open! We wore our masks, they provided lots of hand sanitizer and we stayed away from people. It was soooo fun to go into a store.

The day was very wet and stormy but stayed dry while we were at the store.

This sweet little building used to be a chicken coop. I missed the chickens, but it's really a cute little booth with garden goodies!

There 's a large building out in the back. There were some cute displays this time. I think there is a new owner who had made some nice changes.

I really liked the little red hutch! Good thing I didn't have any place to put it...lol.

We found some cute things for flower containers. I loved the tea kettle.

I chose some bright yellow and orange flowers as those are the colors I use in the backyard. The front is done in pinks and purples.

Tea Time Tuesday #173

The wind is blowing hard again! Most of the leaves will be gone after three days of the old east wind. I took a break this afternoon and had a little tea break.

On the last day of the antique show, Jim bought me this wonderful German spice cabinet. I just love it! I think JIm liked it as much as I did. It will be our souvenir from the show.

I found this wonderful turkey mug at the all city garage sale this past weekend. It's so pretty. It's marked Queen's and Thanksgiving on the bottom of the mug.

I had these little cookies with my tea. A lady baked them and told me they were called German Peppernuts or Pfeffernussen. They are wonderful. I have never had them and think I need to bake some when I do my Christmas baking.

The pattern is a pretty one and a bit different from my Johnson Brothers patterns. I love the sweet  flowers.

The sunrise was just spectacular this morning. I wish the colors would have shown on my camera more true than they did.

Tea Time Tuesday #152

Tea cups, tea cups and more tea cups! We made a stop at a favorite antique shop when we were up on the Washington peninsula a few weeks back. The shop shop is called The Long Beach Peninsula Trading Post. We stopped there last summer on our vacation and I couldn't wait to return!

I think I feature this set last summer, but I'm still in love with it all!.

I did find a treasure for spring, so I will feature that in an upcoming blog spot.

Here's the shop!

Long Beach is a really fun ocean spot to visit. It's still family friendly and a bit small town.
We enjoyed some very fine seafood meals too.

Road Trip Shopping!

Jimmy and I didn't have to babysit this week, so we decided to take a little road trip to the beach for an overnight. The weather was pretty the first day, but it poured rain over night and was really wet on Thursday, but who cares when you like to go to antique shoppes?

We enjoyed lots of wonderful shoppes, so I wanted to share a bit of the goods we found. I love this little grouping of purple souvenir milk glass. I just was enchanted by it.

Oh, I loved this little German cardboard home complete with farmers and lots of animals.

The 4th of July is just around the corner and several booths were decorated for the upcoming holiday.

Children's books are always calling to me...this was a really cute Christmas one. I was good and left it there....

A sweet Japanese children's tea set, still in the box. If it would have had 4 teacups and 4 saucers, I probably would have had to bring it home!

I don't know what I liked better...the vintage metal dollhouse or the quilt blocks!

I am always drawn to little shelves and cupboards! Cute little dishes too!

Doll clothes are always so sweet and so fascinating to me. Most are homemade and that makes them even more charming.

You just have to love these little baby carriages. I love the one I own.

I actually loved the wooden blue chair more that then cute teddy bear.

My other loves is always dishes, teapots, and pretty things! Look at all the goodies on these shelves!

I was sure tempted by this beautiful rose biscuit jar!

A nice collection of Liberty Blue. I have a wee bit of this but would love to have the teapot. Maybe someday....
